My first experience at Zanies was Dr. Dirty, Mr. John Valby about 2 years ago at the Vernon Hills location. I had an incredible time and have come back several times since then. Dr. Dirty has a huge following and if I had to guess at least 50% of the people attending that show were not seeing Valby for the first time. I went with a group of 22 people and I know we would all make a return visit if he came back to town. I don't know if he hasn't been brought back because it's too far away from him or if it's because you have not saught him out. I check all of your club sites and his site on a routine basis... bring back Dr. Dirty!
Thank you for your posting.
Zanies tries to bring Dr. Dirty in about once a year. He just played all three Zanies in May of this year and will probably return in the spring of 2010. Keep checking the Zanies website on a regular basis and sign up for the VIP email list. That way you will receive first notice about special acts like Dr. Dirty. Thank you so much for bringing Brandon Barash to Zanies. I hope he comes back in the future (perhaps with his co-star Bradford Anderson or with Lisa LoCicero?) That would be AWESOME! Even though I have been lucky enough to travel to other states for GH events...sure is nice when they come to your home state. Hope to see more GH (and One Life To Live) actors at Zanies soon. Thanks again.

Why on earth would Jim Norton's show be open only to those over 21. My 19 year old loves Jim Norton. I'm extremely angry about this! He listens to him all the time on Opie and Anthony. What brain trust decided this? Ridiculous!
Sometimes the show a comedian performs live is quite different from what he or she does on public media. We have had complaints in the past about certain comedians whom people knew from radio or TV who perform outrageous material. Consequently, to avoid any problems, we have rated Jim Norton's show as 21 and over. We hope your child continues to enjoy Jim on the radio and will come see him live when he is old enough.

Me and a couple friends went to see Uncle Lar, and while the 2 opening acts were hilarious, Uncle Lar was offensive and rude and nobody I was with or even the people next to us thought that he was funny. He was a disgusting old man who made references to and touched his penis the whole time and all the women we were sitting with were offended and almost pissed off that we had to watch it. If I did not have a free ticket to get in, I would have asked for my money back. Totally disgusting.
Thank you for your feedback.
Comedy is subjective. At Zanies we strive to book a three comedian show featuring individuals who are different from but also complementary to each other. You may not like every joke from every comedian but you will enjoy the show.
I am sorry that you did not like Larry Reeb but after hearing from so many individuals who do enjoy his humor, Larry will continue to be one of Zanies' favorite performers.

Myself and 3 friends saw Gallagher in Vernon Hills on 5/9/9 the early 7pm show. He was FANTASTIC! He really does give 110% times a million. He lets you take pictures, say hi, get an autograph, "grab his hammer" LOL! I've been to Zanies probably over 100 times and I can flat out say this was the best OVERALL show I've ever been to WITHOUT A DOUBT! Gallagher is on tour and will be in Florida at the end of this month and I'll be on vacation there at that time. I'm seriously thinking of going to see him again. I hope he returns to Northern Chicagoland next year. It is true, Gallagher cannot retire because there is so many things that he needs to share with the world. He does need to be televised again so the whole world can share his intelligence AND FUN!!! Boy do I feel sorry for the late show. I give props to EACH and EVERYONE of the staff at Zanies; for this show in particular but also each and every show. Keep up the good work and getting GREAT talent.... I'll see you again soon!

I want to give you a long overdue THANK YOU! to you and your staff for the great event you helped us with in February. Your staff was great, The event was a blast. Larry Reeb was a riot and most important of all we raised over $8000 from ticket sales and the auction. The profits from the last two years have allowed us to complete some sorely needed improvements to the Girls Softball Complex. In 2008/2009 we completed the construction of 2 new dugouts and will likely begin construction of the press box this summer. The Zanies event was the primary revenue source for this project. Thank you again!!

My Fiance and I were there on 5/2 and we have to tell you, Sebastian Maniscalo was phenomenal! Neither one of us has been to Zanies in years and agreed that from now on, we make it a goal of ours to attend an event at least once a year! We laughed so hard, it was ridiculous! Sebastian offers the best facial and bodily expressions, so that the audience gets the most out of his segments. What a great guy!!!!!! His use of his Italianess went a long ways. The man brought the house down!!!!!

I saw Dr. Bill Miller one very snowy night at Vernon Hills. The weather was terrible and very few people showed up....there were, at tops, twelve people or so. He made the best of it and had me crying b/c I was laughing so hard. I thought he was terrific and would absolutely reccomend seeing his show. Thanks.

I wanted to thank you soo very much for your assistance with our St. Charles 12u Boys Baseball fundraiser. Because of your generosity and support, we raised almost $3,000!! I can't tell you what a huge help this will be in defraying some of the costs we will incur for our Cooperstown trip.
Also, I wanted to let you know what a wonderful place all our team's parents thought Zanies was. We had a lot of fun and every single staff member was absolutely fantastic!!
I can't wait to return for future shows!

I can't wait to come back to Zanies in Vernon Hills to see another great comedy show. Laughing makes the world seems like its not in so much economic trouble! Thank you again!

My husband and I went to the 10:00 pm Norm MacDonald show on 3/20. We thought the show was horrible, not funny at all. It seemed like he was either drunk or on something else. He couldn't keep his train of thought and he was just rambling on and on about disgusting things. I understand that the show was "over 21" but the topics he discussed were just nasty. It was a waste of money.

We had a great time Sat afternoon with Bradford Anderson, he was so much fun! Bring back more GH stars like Claudia and Rick. Thanks to Liz and her staff for making our Saturday so great!

Thank you very much for inviting Bradford Anderson to Zanies in Vernon Hills on March 28. Had a lot of fun. Bradford is not only charming, an amazing actor/singer; he is also extremly dedicated to his fans and is always willing to go that extra mile to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves. I would love to see Bradford invited back, and of course if this happens...I am there! Also, your employee Josh was extremly delightful and was willing to make sure everyone was happy and having a good job...huge kudos to him as well.
